International trade and investment opportunities in the Caribbean will feature high on the agenda when this country???s Minister of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development, Donville Inniss, leads a delegation to the eighth China-Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Business Summit in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China, from September 12 to 13.

Themed From Quantity to Quality, Greater Cooperative Potential, Greater Interest Convergence, the high-level forum is a collaboration of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Inter-American Development Bank, the People???s Bank of China and the Government of Hunan Province.

The summit will present a unique and productive opportunity for accessing one of the world???s biggest markets, and will bring together top executives, policy makers and senior public officials from both sides of the Pacific to explore business opportunities between the regions.

The Barbados delegation comprises Ambassador of Barbados to China, Dr. Chelston Brathwaite and Chairman, Barbados Investment and Development Corporation, Benson Straker.??Additionally, the team will meet with officials to discuss a number of issues, such as facilitating increased trade, access of Caribbean products into the Chinese market, and support for the establishment of a Caribbean Trade Centre in China.
