An international non-governmental organisation is inviting applications for two short-term consultancies.?? The first is for the development of a website, and the second for a training workshop and mentoring programme.

The consultant for the development of the website for a national consumer organisation in Barbados should be a Barbadian national. Candidates should have the following qualifications: a degree in computer science, design graphics and/or information communication technologies, communication or a related area; a minimum of five years of direct relevant experience in web design; and a minimum of five years experience in database creation and management, graphic design and programming.

The successful candidate should also possess a portfolio of past work, excellent interpersonal skills, good analytical, writing and communication skills, and cross cultural skills.

The consultant for the training workshop and mentoring of a non-governmental agency should have a postgraduate degree in the social sciences or a related subject; a minimum of 15 years or direct relevant experience in organisational development and capacity building; a minimum of 10 years teaching or training experience including coaching; and good analytical, writing and communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills are essential and persons should have knowledge and experience in consumer issues.
