Strengthening the capacity of Information Technology Coordinators (ITCs) to sustain the Windows 2008 server environment is the key aim of a seminar currently on stream for personnel in the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development.

The course, which began last Tuesday, December 7, is being conducted through the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP) and focuses on Managing and Maintaining Windows 2008 Server Environment.

Eighteen ITCs and two other officers from the Ministry are participating in the programme, which runs each day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at BIMAP facilities on Harbour Road. Microsoft Certified Trainer and ITC at the St. James Secondary School, Myrl Whitney, is the course facilitator.

The training will conclude next Friday,??December 17, at 2:00 p.m.,??where certificates will be presented to the participants.??jgill@barbados.gov.bb
