International singer/songwriter Jaicko will soon unleash a number of projects designed to "give back" to Barbados.

Word of this came when the 20 year-old contemporary pop musician, along with his personal assistant, Louise DeCourcey-Dawe, met with Minister of Culture, Stephen Lashley, at the Ministry’s Warrens Office yesterday.

The Barbadian-born artiste currently resides in New York, but intends to develop projects across the island, especially catering to young people.

High on his agenda is plans for a Back-to-School Tour, where he will visit schools across the island, during the first term. This initiative, he noted, would not only give students an opportunity to meet him, but would also allow them to learn about the different experiences an artiste faces in an effort to attain success.

Minister Lashley expressed his approval of the proposed programme, and assured the artiste that he would have the full support of his Ministry.
