Barbados??? Junior Minister of Tourism, Kezia Forde, will join 14 other Junior Ministers of Tourism in representing their countries at the Caribbean Tourism Organization???s (CTO) State of the Industry Conference???s Regional Caribbean Youth Congress.

The conference, slated for October 16 to 19, in Martinique, will give the students between the ages of 14 and 17, the opportunity to participate in a simulated CTO Board of Directors meeting, where they will present a three-minute speech on the topics: Multi-Generational Travel and Caribbean Agri-Tourism.

While in Martinique, the Junior Ministers will attend various conference sessions, and mingle with conference delegates, high-level tourism officials, and Ministers of Tourism. The students will also visit some of the island???s tourist attractions.

The Youth Congress is a highlight of Conference activities, and is a favourite event for delegates.

Barbados has been successful in the past, and has secured the top three winning positions. Last year, former Harrison College student, Christopher Morgan, placed second in the Youth Congress, which was won by O???Brian Lewis of Jamaica.
