As part of Heritage Month celebrations, the National Cultural Foundation (NCF), in collaboration with the National Art Gallery Committee, will mount an exhibition to mark the 80th birthday salute to renowned poet, Kamau Brathwaite.

The exhibition, featuring the creations of some of the island’s artistes, will get under way with a private viewing on Sunday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m, at the Queen’s Park Gallery. During the session, actress, Yvonne Weekes, will read excerpts of Brathwaite’s work.??

Art enthusiasts can view the works on display from Monday, May 17, to Saturday, June 26, from 10:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. Apart from the exposition, the public will get an opportunity to interact with the poet during a "Meet the Artist" session slated for Sunday, May 23, starting at 4:30 p.m. This will be followed by a Literary Arts Read-In on Sunday, May 30, commencing at 4:30 p.m.
