Residents living or working in the coastal area from Shermans/Half Moon Fort in St. Lucy, to Mullins, St. Peter, are encouraged to take part in a Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) survey on Tsunami Preparedness and Response.

The survey is being conducted by the Department of Emergency Management (DEM), in collaboration with its national, regional and international partners.

Persons are encouraged to fill out the survey and share their opinions and recommendations on how to prepare for, and respond to, tsunamis.

Members of the District Emergency Organizations (DEOs) for St. Lucy, St. Peter and St. James North, will also be visiting communities to assist with administering the survey. Those persons will be wearing the official blue DEO volunteer shirt.

The survey closes on Thursday, October 31.
