Efforts by the Labour Department to sensitise employers about labour laws and best practices to promote a greater degree of cooperation between them and their employees will continue next week.
It will take the form of a one-day seminar entitled Labour Legislation and Industrial Relations Best Practice, and will be held on Wednesday, November 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on the 2nd Floor of the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.
The Ministry of Labour recently amended the Health and Safety at Work Act and is in the process of revising other pieces of legislation to facilitate effective workplace management.?? kmoore@barbados.gov.bb
