Chief Labour Officer, Vincent Burnett (FP)

Government’s Labour Department is working assiduously to rectify environmental concerns that have been raised by staff of the National Employment Bureau (NEB).

This assurance has come from Chief Labour Officer, Vincent Burnett, who confirmed that these concerns prevented staff from remaining in the confines of the office located at 2nd Floor, NIS Building, Fairchild Street today.

He stated that corrective action was already under way and, as a result, the NEB’s office would be closed for the remainder of the day and also on Tuesday.

Mr. Burnett has asked the NEB employees to report to the Labour Department, Warren’s Office, Warrens, St. Michael, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7 at 8:15 a.m.

Meanwhile, those persons who wish to conduct business with the NEB related to its Overseas Employment Programmes, should call 310-1514 and 310-1519 from tomorrow.
