The Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), invites persons interested in starting their own business to register for a webinar this week which focuses on entrepreneurship.

The webinar, entitled From Idea to Enterprise – Entrepreneurship During COVID and Beyond, seeks to promote entrepreneurship during this period, and to contribute to the emergence of prosperous businesses that create job opportunities and bolster the economy.

It is intended for persons who are unemployed and between ages 16 and 60.

It will be facilitated by a panel of experts, including representatives from the business community of Barbados, the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme, the Barbados Employer’s Confederation and the Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations.

These experts will be answering questions on how to start a business; where to go when you have a new idea; labour best practices and all things entrepreneurial.

The webinar will be held virtually via Zoom on Thursday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m. To register, persons may click here.

Once registered, they will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. For further information, individuals may call Mrs. Psyche Burke at 535-1423, or email pburke@labour.gov.bb.
