When the House of Assembly meets tomorrow, June 15, members are primarily expected to debate a land resolution.

Minister of Housing and Lands, Michael Lashley, will move the passing of a Resolution to approve the compulsory acquisition by the Crown of parcels of land and buildings at Sam Lord’s Castle, in Long Bay, St. Philip. The land will be used for housing, tourism development and access to the beach. The measure is in accordance with section five of the Land Acquisition Act. Cap. 228.

Also down for discussion is the Second Reading of the Environmental Levy Bill, 2010. This stands in the name of Prime Minister David Thompson. clashley@barbados.gov.bb
