The Barbados Revenue Authority reminds all property owners that October 30, 2019, is the final payment date for the installment discount arrangement.

The eligibility requirement for the discount under this four-month installment arrangement was that the initial installment payment had to be paid on or before July 26, 2019. Taxpayers should note that the discount is applied to the final payment.

Manager of Communications and Public Relations with the Authority, Carolyn Williams-Gayle, recommends that taxpayers take advantage of the drop box option.

“We tend to see an increase in foot traffic to our offices from about the last two weeks in the month, especially when persons are trying to meet deadlines. We are in the process of introducing other payment options to make doing business with the Authority easier for taxpayers and to help reduce deadline stress.

“Until those options have been implemented, we are encouraging taxpayers to use the drop boxes available at our payment locations, except The Pine, to submit payments. They would need to attach the cheque to the bill and drop it in the box,” she explained.

Over-the-counter bill payments can be made at the Authority’s Treasury Building, Weymouth Corporate Centre, Warrens Tower II, Oistins and Holetown locations.

The opening hours for the Treasury Building and Holetown are Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., while the other locations are 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
