Heritage Month will be launched on Friday, May 23, at the Officers??? Dining Mess, St. Ann???s Fort, The Garrison, St. Michael, beginning at 9.30 a.m.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and the Barbados World Heritage Committee, Minister with responsibility, Stephen Lashley, will deliver remarks at the launch.

Next month will mark the third anniversary of the inscription of the UNESCO World Heritage Property ???Historic Bridgetown and its Property??? and there will be a range of exciting activities executed by a wide cross section of stakeholders in June.

The Month of events will seek to bring visibility to the Inscribed Property, and to further educate the public about the Outstanding Universal Value of Barbados??? first World Heritage Property.

The launch of Heritage Month will be an opportunity to review the work of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and the Barbados World Heritage Committee over the past year and to get up-to-date information about the activities in this year???s celebrations.
