Over 20 artistes are expected to display their work at an upcoming series of expositions on local art and craft. The event will be facilitated by the Ministry of Tourism, through its community tourism programme.

The first exposition is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 27 at Holetown, St. James. This will see artistes displaying, among others, visual art, pottery, basketry, clothing and jewelry.

Come this Friday, May 8, the programme will be officially launched in the foyer annex of the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre at 9:30 a.m. Minister of Tourism, Richard Sealy will address the event, which will also be attended by representatives from the Barbados Arts Council, the Barbados Craft Council and the Barbados Association of Retailers, Vendors and Entrepreneurs.

The logo for the series of art and craft expositions will also be unveiled.
