A local company is about to roll out an innovative shipping method for goods throughout the region and internationally that would cut down on transportation costs.??

David Weeks and Associates, the company behind the Pandora Case and Brace Shipping Solution for Intermodal Containers venture, will unveil the technology during an official ceremony next Tuesday, February, 23.?? The event will be held at the Pinelands Creative Workshop, Pinelands, St. Michael, starting at 10:30 a.m.

According to Mr. Weekes, the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) provided the company with $250,000 from a special technical assistant programme, to facilitate the registration of patents with the United States Trademark Office.

He further explained: "the project will offer a cutting edge solution for the transportation sector, which we believe, would have a positive impact on Barbados’ short-term economic growth. This will be achieved through the assembly and manufacture of an enhanced, secure shipping.

Officials from the Division of Trade, Industry of Commerce, the BIDC, the National Council for Science and Technology and other agencies, will be on hand to witness the unveiling.
