Several managers across the workforce will soon learn about the importance of Leading with Emotional Intelligence, when The Productivity Council hosts a one-day seminar.

It will be held on Wednesday, June 22, at the Council, Third Floor, Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael.

Topics to be examined include: The Role of the Leader; Strategic Leadership; Emotional Intelligence; Leadership Styles and Behaviours; Leading Change; Conflict Resolution and Communication.

Those persons interested in participating in the training should call Tara Parris at 626-9416, or email tparris@productivitycouncil.org.bb for additional information.

Training and Development Officer at the Council, Karen Collins, said that changes in the general environment dictate that managers not only manage efficiently, but also lead their teams effectively.

Ms. Collins pointed out that the workshop would examine and discuss the characteristics and prerequisites of effective leaders, and how to use these skills for staff and team member development, as well as organisational effectiveness and success.
