The Barbados Defence Force, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Task Force on Wellness, will hold a lecture series entitled Promoting Good Mental Health During Exams.
This series targets Fifth form students who will be writing CXC examinations in May to provide them with the tools to recognize signs of stress and to manage that stress in a meaningful way. These tools can also be used to address other areas, such as bullying, or challenging interpersonal relationships.
Two lectures will take place simultaneously tomorrow, Friday, February 28, at Alexandra and Coleridge and Parry Secondary Schools, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
The lecturers will be Director of Supreme Counselling Services (SCS), Shawn Clarke, Deputy Director of SCS, Dacia Chase; and Clinical Psychologist, Tanya Newton, also from SCS.
