In recognition of World Heart Day, this Saturday, September 29, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados Inc., in association with the Ministry of Health, will host an interactive public discussion tomorrow, Thursday, September 27.

The discussion will be held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael and will begin at 6:00 p.m. Facilitator, Lifestyle Coach and Fitness Professional, Kenneth Griffith, will examine Cardio-Vascular Disease Prevention Amongst Women and Children.??

There will be activities for children, led by Kids in Motion.?? While patrons will be offered free blood pressure and body mass index tests.

World Heart Day, held annually under the theme One World, One Home, One Heart, was designed to raise awareness and encourage individuals, families, communities and governments to take action to reduce the burden of heart disease and stroke. This year, efforts worldwide will focus on protecting the hearts of women and children through heart-healthy actions.
