Barbadians will get the opportunity to learn more about asthma and ways of treating that illness next month, when the Barbados Drug Service holds a public lecture entitled The Treatment of Asthma in Barbados.

The talk, which was organised in collaboration with the Barbados Pharmaceutical Society, the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists and the Asthma Association of Barbados, will be held on Tuesday, August 14, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael. Speaker for the evening will be Pulmonologist Dr. Anne Marie Hassell.

From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., persons will get the opportunity to meet with pharmacists to discuss medicines and be instructed on how to correctly use asthma inhalers.?? Attendees can also bring their old or unused medication for safe disposal.

Bus transportation to the Fairchild Street and Princess Alice Bus Terminals will be provided at the end of the lecture.??
