Attorney General, Adriel Brathwaite, speaking at 15th Ordinary Meeting of the Legal Affairs Committee for the Caribbean Community.

Attorney Generals and other senior officials are in Barbados for the 15th Ordinary Meeting of the Legal Affairs Committee for the Caribbean Community, currently under way at the Accra Beach Hotel.

Over the course of the two-day meeting, from February 16 to February 17, a range of topics will be discussed, including various treaties, agreements and bills across the region.

New Chairman of the Committee and Attorney General of Barbados, Adriel Brathwaite, expressed gratitude to the countries that sent representatives to what he described as "a very important meeting."

Mr. Brathwaite urged participants to utilise the time spent here in a constructive way, while underscoring the importance of them meeting collectively.

"I do believe that there are some challenges that we have as a region and I am sure that we can learn a lot from each other.?? One thing that is quite clear to me is that we will not survive this new global environment unless we do it collectively" he said??
