As work continues under the Coastal Risk Assessment and Management Programme, officials are about to embark on an aerial LIDAR and photographic survey.

As a result, the Coastal Zone Management Unit has retained the services of consultant, Pelydryn, to conduct an aerial survey of Barbados??? coastal zone.

This will be done through the deployment of a small aircraft from the Grantley Adams International Airport.

This low-flying aircraft will travel over land and the island???s coastline over the next seven weeks.

However, officials at the CZMU are giving the assurance that there is no danger to the public as it is part of a routine exercise.??The Royal Barbados Police Force and the Barbados Defence Force have also been informed about this exercise.
