Minister of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley??

Barbadians are being encouraged to ???taste’ the brew that will be served up at the Sagicor Life Inc. Lighting Ceremony and Bajan Folk Brew on Thursday, November 1, in National Heroes Square, Bridgetown.

Minister of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley, is expected to deliver the feature address at the ceremony, which gets under way at 5:30 p.m., while Rector of the St. Lucy Parish Church, Reverend Curtis Goodridge, will pray on behalf of those present.

Eight-year-old Julian Brooks of the Irving Wilson School will flick the switch to light up Bridgetown.

The Brew will follow at 7:00 p.m. and the performers will include the Nazarene Silvertones of Barbados, the Israel Lovell Dancers, Fantom Dundeal, Mikey, Tony Grazette and Adrian Clarke.

This year’s 46th anniversary of Independence is being celebrated under the theme Craftsmen of Our Fate: Inspiring Pride and Unity.
