Barbados’ 50th anniversary of Independence celebrations will kick into high gear when the annual Sagicor Life Inc. Lighting Ceremony is held tomorrow Tuesday, November 1, in National Heroes Square, The City, at 5:30 p.m.
And, the Community Independence Celebrations Secretariat is inviting Barbadians from all walks of life to “come Celebrate Barbados”, in keeping with the ceremony’s theme this year: Celebrating Who We Are.
Performances will include singers Andre Hoyte and Cherece Richards; Calypso Queen, Aziza; The Mighty Grynner; steel pannist, Andre Forde; dramatist, Shellaine Bourne; and the Royal Barbados Police Force Band.
