The Barbados Postal Service now has in circulation a new Definitive Stamp Issue of 16 stamps featuring "Local Fruits".

The denominations are: five cents – Golden Apple; 10 cents – Coconut; 35 cents – Cashew; 40ȼ – Mammy Apple; 60ȼ – Barbados Cherries; 65ȼ – Sugar Apple; 80ȼ – Sea Grapes; $1.00 – Tamarind; $1.25 – Carambola;?? $1.50 – Mango; $1.80 – Banana; $2.20 – Guava; $2.75 – Avocado; $3 – Gooseberries; $5 – Soursop; $10 – Pomegranate.

Interested persons can also purchase one set of stamps for $31.45 and First Day Covers are also available at $33.70.

Official First Day Covers may be bought or ordered from the Philatelic Bureau,

General Post Office, Bridgetown, as well as the website http://www.barbadospostal.com/.

Persons may visit the Bureau, which is opened Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.??
