Ambassador Ryan Brathwaite????
Some outstanding Barbadian sports persons will be rewarded by the National Sports Council (NSC) next weekend during the Annual Awards Ceremony at the Frank Collymore Hall.
The event will be held on Saturday, January 30, and Secretary General of the Jamaica Olympic Committee and Area Representative for the Americas of the International Amateur Athletics Federation, Neville "Teddy" McCook, will deliver the feature address. Minister of Sports, Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo, and chairman of the Council, Henry Inniss, will deliver remarks.
Several young athletes will be the recipients of some of the 19 awards, which will be presented during the night.
Some of the awards will include Coach of the Year, Family Award, School Award, The Alvin Burgess Award, the Emerging Athlete Award and the Minister’s Award.
Sports Personality for 2009, Ryan Brathwaite, will also receive prizes for capturing that title.
