Sixth Form students from The Lodge School will launch a number of products next Tuesday, March 3, at Emerald City Supermarket, St. Philip.

The Product Development Launch will afford the Food and Nutrition students the opportunity to fulfil their CAPE Unit 2 requirements, and at the same time allow them to produce new and innovative products using indigenous Barbadian foods.

Many of these foods will not only show skill and creativity in composition and preparation but will focus on providing options for many persons suffering from chronic non communicable diseases.

As such, emphasis will be on reducing salt, sugar, and fat, and at the same time, increasing fibre and essential antioxidants in these new products.??The launch will run from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
