The Barbados Government Information Service???s upcoming Love Poetry and Song Concert will be the talk on the street when a team from that department takes to the road next Saturday, February 8, for a Bus Rally and Food Drive.

The team, along with DJ Kirk Brown of 98.1 F.M. The One, will travel across sections of the island on the Transport Board???s yellow open bus from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be stops at: Heroes Square, The City at 10:00 a.m.; Oistins at 11:00 a.m.; Sheraton Mall, Christ Church, at 11:40 a.m.; The Village Bar, Lemon Arbor, St. John at 12:30 p.m.; the Glebe Market, St. George, at 2:15 p.m.; the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, Pine, St. Michael, at 2:30 p.m.; Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael, at 2:45 p.m.; Super Centre, Warrens, St. Michael, at 3:10 p.m.; and Speightstown, St. Peter, at 3:50 p.m. The rally will then return to Bridgetown via Highway 1B.

Individuals, community groups, churches, and business places are encouraged to come out and meet the Love, Poetry and Song Team and some of the artistes at any of the stop, and to lend support along the route.

Persons are encouraged to donate non-perishable food or personal care items or may contact the BGIS at 426-2242 by Friday, February 7, to organise collection of donations.

The Love, Poetry and Song charity concert comes off Saturday, February 15, at Ilaro Court, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, at 6:00 p.m.
