Patrons are expected to turn out in their numbers for the 2016 Love, Poetry & Song (LPS) benefit concert which will be held this evening at the Frank Collymore Hall under the theme ???I Pledge to Love Safely???.

The show, which gets under way at 6:15 p.m., is coordinated by the HIV Education Committee of the Barbados Government Information Service.

Among this evening???s performers are: Adrian Clarke, Tamara Marshall, Marisa Lindsay, G???Syndicate, Khiomal, and Empress Zingha.

All tickets for the event have been sold but persons can still enjoy the show on the large screens which have been erected on the terrace of the Frank Collymore Hall. They can also watch it on MCTV???s Pay-Per-View for $25.00.

Patrons are reminded to bring at least a 25 dollar donation and/or two non-perishable food items or toiletries for the Ministry of Health???s HIV Food Bank. Ticketholders are also asked to be seated by 6:00 p.m. sharp.

LPS brings together local artistes who perform poetry, dance and song to bring about greater awareness of the need for ???safe love???, and the elimination of stigma and discrimination against people living with or affected by HIV.

Over the past three years, the benefit concert has raised over $65,000 as well as food stuff and personal care items for the HIV Food Bank. Immediately following the concert, there will be an after party featuring the Mosiac Steel Orchestra, also on the terrace of the Frank Collymore Hall.
