The Love, Poetry and Song fundraising concert will come off this evening, Saturday, February 18, at the Drill Hall Beach Range, Barbados Defence Force, St. Ann’s Fort, St. Michael.

Several local singers and spoken word artistes will perform at the concert, which will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m.

Patrons are encouraged to bring donations of food and toiletry items for the HIV Food Bank, and to walk with their blankets or chairs.

Entry to the event will be at the “Top Gate” which is located on the road to the Drill Hall Beach Range, opposite the Garrison Savannah and next to the Hastings Police Station.

Admission is $25 for adults and $10 for children aged five to 16, while children under five are free.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.ticketlinkz.com, Sports and Games, Roebuck Street and the following iMart locations: Sheraton, Lanterns Mall, The Walk and Bridge Street. Persons may also purchase tickets at the venue on the day of the concert.

Parking is available at the Garrison Savannah and the Barbados Light and Power Car Park.

The featured singers for tomorrow’s show are: Mr. Blood, Biggie Irie, RBP, Joaquin, Ch’an, Allison Norville, Imani, Marisa Lindsay, Ki’ann Browne, Jeeasha Samuel, Jamal Slocombe, Torian, Lee Allan and winner of the Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competition, Yahandje Daniel.

The spoken word artistes are Janine White, Daveny Ellis, Disa and Akeem Chandler, while Mosaic Steel Orchestra will provide musical entertainment.
