The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has informed residents in parts of St. Michael who are currently experiencing low water pressure and outages that it is owing to low reservoir levels at its Lodge Hill Reservoir and St. Stephen’s Pumping Station.

This service disruption is due to ongoing repairs to a damaged main in the area. In addition, as a result of a damaged gas line and other utility cables in the same area, the Authority is carrying out repairs with extreme caution.

The BWA also reported that low water levels continue to affect its operations at Fort George, the Golden Ridge Reservoir and Ozone Pumping Station. In the interim, water tankers will continue to assist the affected areas.  However, there may be some delays due to heavy demand.

Members of the public are reminded that they can contact the Authority at 434-4292 or via Facebook to report or address any issues they may be experiencing.

The BWA apologizes for any inconvenience which may be caused.
