Barbadians are now paying slightly less for the price of bottled gas.

Effective midnight, Wednesday, April 14, the retail price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) decreased in keeping with the imported prices of petroleum products.?? As a consequence, the 100-pound cylinder will now be retailed at $147.20 – a decrease of $1.14.?? The 25-pound cylinder will now cost $39.39, down by 28 cents, while the 20-pound cylinder will now be retailed at $31.51 – a saving of 23 cents.

Government has a mechanism in place to adjust petroleum prices monthly by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Trade, Industry and Commerce, on the advice of the Division of Energy.

This mechanism is now in use and price changes will be more frequent (i.e up or down) in accordance with the landed price of petroleum products.
