There has been a slight dip in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Effective midnight, tonight, Wednesday March 17, the retail price of LPG will decrease in keeping with the imported prices of petroleum products. As a consequence, the 100-pound cylinder will now be retailed at $148.34 – a decrease of $2.37.?? The 25-pound will now cost $39.67, down by 59 cents, while the 20-pound will now be retailed at $31.74 – a saving of 47 cents.

Government has a mechanism in place to adjust petroleum prices, monthly by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce, on the advice of the Ministry of Energy.

This mechanism is now in use and price changes will be more frequent (i.e up or down) in accordance with the landed price of petroleum products.
