Residents of St. Lucy and nearby districts are encouraged to attend Lucy’s Energy Af-Fair on Saturday, September 10, at the St. Lucy Parish Church Car Park, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The free event will be hosted by the St. Lucy Parish Independence Committee, in honour of resident of the parish, Rollinston Brome, who was the Barbados Light & Power’s 75,000th customer in 1986.

Booths featuring various aspects of energy will be set up and there will also be entertainment, as well as other attractions, including face painting and a jumping tent for children. Patrons will be able to win prizes by taking part in an energy quiz.

The theme of the St. Lucy Parish Independence Committee’s project is From de Smut Lamp, She Flicking & Switching.
