“Lupus” will come under the microscope next week when the Winston Scott Polyclinic Men’s Health Education Group meets again on Thursday, November 27.

The meeting gets under way at 7:00 p.m. at the polyclinic and will be facilitated by Chairperson of the HOPE Foundation, Shelly Weir.

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) often referred to as Lupus is a chronic disorder that causes inflammation of various parts of the body. It can affect the skin, joints, kidneys, lungs, heart, nervous system, blood, and/or other body organs or systems.  Some symptoms include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, aches and pains, swollen glands, nausea and vomiting and headache.
