HIV or disability does not discriminate, neither should you.

This is the theme of a March and Rally which will be staged this Saturday, December 3 to observe International Day for Persons with Disabilities and World Aids Day, which is celebrated on December 1.

The March will leave Independence Square in the City, turn left, and continue along River Road, then on to John Beckles Drive and Constitution Road, before culminating at Queen’s Park, where the Rally will run from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The public is invited to come out and be entertained and educated through speech, drama, dance and song, by a number of local artistes including John King, Patrick Forde, Elvis Maloney, Juanita Paul, Bumba and Tasita Forde.

Persons are also asked to bring an item to be donated to the HIV/AIDS Food Bank.

The event will be hosted by the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development, along with the National Unit Disabilities and the Barbados Council for the Disabled.
