The Diabetes Association of Barbados will host its monthly Market Day on Thursday, June 25, at the Association???s headquarters, Beckles Road, St. Michael, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
On sale will be a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, as well as plants, seedlings, books and clothes.
Patrons will also be able to sample food and beverages created by entrants in the Association???s Healthy Recipe Competition.
The competition, under the theme: Keep the Culture, Cut the Fat, is one of the activities for the Association???s 40th anniversary being celebrated this year.??Everyone attending the Market Day will also have the opportunity to get their blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure checked.
