The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has advised that all markets across the island which sell food, meat, dry goods, vegetables, and fruit will reopen from tomorrow, Monday, March 1. The opening hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Manager of Markets, Sherlock King, said: “Even though the markets will be open, there will be no sale of clothing, shoe repairs, hairdressing, or barbering. These operations, which are to be found at some markets, have not been allowed under Directive No. 5.”

He said, however, that food canteens would be allowed to operate, but with only a take-a-away service. Patrons are reminded that all health protocols must be adhered to at the markets.
