The Winston Scott Polyclinic Men’s Health Group will celebrate its third anniversary this year with a week of activities from June 20 to 26.

Under the theme "Men’s Health in the Community", it will begin with divine worship at Bethel Methodist Church, Bay Street, on Sunday, June 20, at 9:00 a.m.

Activities will continue on Tuesday, June 22, with an exercise evening in the polyclinic’s car park, for group members and staff. This starts at 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, June 23, the team will visit the St. Michael Geriatric Hospital at Beckles Road and engage in story-telling as well as grooming of the elderly from 9:30 a.m.

The following day, Thursday, June 24, at 3:00 p.m., there will be a presentation of a bench table, car park signs and plant pots to the Winston Scott Polyclinic from the Men’s Health Group.

Later, at 7:00 p.m., there will be the usual Men’s Health lecture/discussion, at the polyclinic.?? It will focus on "Parenting – A Man’s Role" and will be delivered by Shawn Springer, a social worker and voluntary counselling and testing officer for HIV/AIDS.

??Events for the week will culminate on Saturday, June 26, with a social night at the polyclinic, featuring karaoke, dominoes, cards and other games. This begins at 6:00 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to participate in the activities and view the week-long poster display at the Winston Scott Polyclinic, Jemmotts Lane, in celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the Men’s Health Group. jgill@barbados.gov.bb
