The Black Rock Polyclinic Men’s Health Group will celebrate four years of existence with a week of activities from June 20 to 26, under the theme "Engaging Men and Boys".

It will begin with a church service at The Power In The Blood Church, Tudor Bridge, on Sunday, June 20, at 9:00 a.m.

The following day, Monday, June 21, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., the group will walk through several communities – Deacons, Haynesville, Grazettes and Belfield – to sensitise residents about the role of the Men’s Health Group. Youth Commissioner, Marcus Stephens will accompany the members.????

On Tuesday, June 22, Community Nutrition Officer, Brian Payne will make a presentation on "Nutrition, Health and Exercise" at the polyclinic at 7:00 p.m.

"Health Checks In the Clinic" will be the focus of activities on Wednesday, June 23, from 9:00 a.m. These will include blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and HIV testing and counselling, among others. There will also be a number of health discussions and information dissemination via posters and pamphlets, as well as a special "Men’s Corner".

Thursday, June 24, will be games evening at the polyclinic, from 7:00 p.m., while on Friday, June 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. there will be a "Men’s Health Hospitality Day In The Clinic", where members from the group will serve clients and show appreciation for their attendance at lecture/discussions, over the years.

??Events for the week will culminate on Saturday, June 26, at 6:00 a.m. with a sponsored walk from the polyclinic on Black Rock Main Road to Brandons Beach, where breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m.
