The public is advised that the Mental Health Fair which was scheduled to be held in Heroes Square on Saturday, October 13, will now take place this Friday, October 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 4.30??p.m.
There will be blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing and the full mental health team will be on hand to offer advice and to answer questions.?? The fair is just one of the community activities designed to highlight Mental Health Month, being recognised this month, under the theme Depression: A Global Crisis.
There will also be a sports day for patients and staff of the Psychiatric Hospital, Black Rock, St. Michael, on the grounds on Wednesday, October 24, beginning at 10:00 a.m., a staff appreciation day on Friday, October 26, an early morning staff hike on Sunday, October 28, and a Patients Concert for family and friends of the wards on Sunday, October 28, at the hospital, starting at 4:30 p.m.??
