Right Honourable David Cameron??
I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Prime Minister David Thompson on Saturday. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Sadly I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Thompson, but I know he was a highly respected leader whose easy-going charm was accompanied by an astute political mind. He fought his illness with courage and fortitude, whilst remaining focused to the very end on the challenges faced by his beloved Barbados.
The thoughts of the Government and people of the United Kingdom are with Mr. Thompson’s family and with the Government and the people of Barbados at this sad time.
