This disclosure came today from Minister of Health, Donville Inniss, as he addressed the Harold Ellis Surgical Symposium, held at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

During his speech, he said: "The Queen Elizabeth Hospital certainly appreciates this opportunity to create external linkages which can be pursued over time and the potential for a cross- fertilisation of ideas, knowledge and skills".

Mr. Inniss told his audience that, the world was a global village with an immense wealth of opportunities and ideas to be gained through good networking.

He continued: ??"The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, being a teaching facility as well, is always ready to engage medical professionals in dialogue and information sharing as we advance closer to our goal of being a world class medical facility".

Shortly before officially opening the symposium, the Minister declared "that the physical plant here might not be considered the best in the world, but gave the assurance you that "within these walls you will find some of the most skilled and competent doctor’s one may find in any general hospital this side of the hemisphere".
