Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Constituency Empowerment, Sonja Welch, and General Manager of BBM,??George Connolly, shake hands after signing the Memorandum of Understanding for the use of??30 digital multi-function printing and copying machines, while Director of the Department of Constituency Empowerment,????Kirk Humphrey, looks on.

The Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment, Urban and Rural Development and Barbados Business Machines (BBM) now have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for use of 30 digital multi-function printing and copying machines.

The MOU was signed today by Permanent Secretary, Sonja Welch, and BBM’s General Manager, George Connolly.?? This follows the presentation of those machines to the Ministry, earlier this year for use in the 30 constituency councils.

Ms. Welch noted that Government was pleased to be partnering with BBM in establishing the constituency councils, and would honour the agreement on collaboration and cooperation.

Mr. Connolly said that his company welcomed the opportunity to assist government in this initiative because these constituency councils would empower communities.??

Meanwhile, the launch of the six pilot constituency councils will take place on Sunday, July 5, at the Lloyd Erksine Sandiford Centre.
