The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security is taking the lead in Government’s participation in Agrofest 2022, which takes place at Queen’s Park, Bridgetown, St. Michael from Saturday, May 28 until Sunday, May 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Ministry will have officials from the Entomology Section, Pesticides Control Unit, Tissue Culture Laboratory, Veterinary Laboratory, Apiculture Unit, Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Authority and the Agricultural Services and Extensions Unit as well as experts on livestock rearing.

These officials will be on hand, to answer questions related to farming, gardening and plant protection. The Greenland Livestock Research Station will have its prized Black Belly Sheep and different breeds of goats on display and the Soil Conservation Unit will be offering a variety of fruit trees for sale on each day of the event.
