As part of Education Month celebrations, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development yesterday honoured retired school teacher, Minna McCaskie for her sterling contribution to the sector.

She was presented with a gift basket from Senior Education Officer, and former pupil, Joy Gittens, at her Bridge Road, St. Michael home.

Ms. McCaskie is well known for her years as a teacher at the Belmont Primary School and, after retirement, her contribution to the Gooding Private School. The educator was also well known for conducting lessons in her garage for children preparing for the Common Entrance Examination.

??Ms. McCaskie was one of over seventy retired educators honoured by the Ministry. These included past principals, Deputy Principals and senior teachers.
