Barbadians are being urged to give the gift that keeps on giving – literacy – during the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training’s Primary School Book Drive themed: “Share A Story”.

The drive begins on Tuesday, April 23, World Book Day, and runs until Tuesday, April 30. Individuals, church and community groups, service clubs and organizations are being asked to donate new and gently used books for children ages four to 11.

The categories of books may include story books, picture books, activity or informational books. Books which are in good condition may be donated to any primary school in Barbados.

They will be given to children in need and used to develop classroom and school libraries.
