The Ministry of the Environment and National Beautification (MENB) will host a virtual art exhibition to mark the International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22, under the theme: Building a Shared Future for All Life.

The exhibition will be hosted on the Ministry’s website from Sunday, May 22, until Friday, June 17.

It features the work of 30 artists and explores themes of biodiversity, local flora and fauna, nature and ecosystem restoration, and Barbadian people and their interactions through various media.

This forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to highlight artists’ work, which reflects an appreciation of Barbados, its environment, biodiversity, and people and their interactions.

The first exhibition was held last year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and presented another way for the Ministry to share the message of biodiversity conservation, as well as to partner with, and support local artists.
