The Ministry of Labour will be participating in this year’s May Day Parade as customary.

Marching under the theme: Change is coming: Employment Rights, it is expected that Minister of Labour and Social Security, Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo, will lead the Ministry’s staff during the walk.

Bands, which comprise organisations, trade unions and government departments, will converge at the Garrison Savannah for an 8:30 a.m. start and then proceed onto Dalkeith Road, Culloden Road and stop at the Sir Frank Walcott statue for a 20 minute wreath laying ceremony.

Following that, the parade will continue onto Belleville, pass Government House, turn left at the traffic lights onto Tweedside Road, Roebuck Street, Crumpton Street, St. Michaels Row, left at the lights along Bridge Street and then move on to Probyn Street and Bay Street to conclude at the Coastal Zone Management Unit Car Park on Brownes Beach.
