The new website of the Ministry of Public Service. (MPS)

Public officers now have another medium by which they may be kept up to date with the policies and procedures in the Barbados Public Service.

The Ministry of the Public Service has launched a new website, and public officers and members of the public may access it via https://mps.gov.bb.

Acting Assistant Director of Information and Knowledge Management, Sonia Hurley, said the website would provide its users with easy reference to the available services and resources of the Ministry, and its three Directorates – Human Resource Policy and Staffing; People Resourcing and Compliance, and Learning and Development.

Ms. Hurley continued: “Public officers and members of the public will learn about any available vacancies, training opportunities or programmes in government, as they will be posted on the website. As we proceed, we will also increase the available content on the website.”

She underscored the importance of the website, saying it was necessary to have the relevant information accessible to all.

Some of the areas addressed on the website are: the Employees’ Assistance Programme; the Guidelines for Employee Onboarding and Orientation; Training and Study Leave Legislation; Retiring Benefits; Leave Eligibility, and the recently introduced Flexible Work Arrangement Policy.
