Parents, teachers and principals preparing pupils for the 2018 Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (BSSEE) are invited to a series of Town Hall meetings aimed at sensitising them on the various steps involved in the administration of the examination.

The meetings, which will be held from November 2017, to January 2018, are an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation.

Representatives from the Ministry will instruct persons on how to fill out the several forms used in the BSSEE, including those for choice of school, deferral and special requests.

The first sessions will be held on Saturday, November 18, at The Church of God of Prophecy, Water Street, Christ Church, (located behind the Milton Lynch Primary School); Princess Margaret Secondary School, Six Roads, St. Phillip; and Roland Edwards Primary School, Battaleys, St. Peter.

They will continue on Tuesday, November 21, at St. Bartholomew’s Primary School, Parish Land, Christ Church; Cuthbert Moore Primary School, St. Helens, St. George; and George Lamming Primary School, Flint Hall, St. Michael.

On Thursday, November 23, the informative sessions will be conducted at Sharon Primary School, Sharon, St. Thomas; St. George Primary School, Walkers, St. George; and Eden Lodge Primary School, Eden Lodge, St. Michael.

Daryll Jordan Secondary School, Trents, St. Lucy; St. John Primary School, Glebe, St. John; and the A. DaCosta Edwards Primary School, Belleplaine, St. Andrew, will be the venues for the town hall meetings being held on Saturday, November 25.

In December, meetings will be held on Tuesday, December 5, at Bay Primary, Bayville, St. Michael; Blackman and Gollop Primary School, Staple Grove, Christ Church; and Western Light Church of the Nazarene, Oxnard’s, St. James.

On Thursday, December 7, sessions will take place at Wesley Hall Junior School, King Street, Bridgetown; St. Martin’s-Mangrove Primary School, St. Martin’s, St. Philip; and Gordon Walters Primary School, St. Patrick’s, Christ Church.

The final meeting will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at The St. Michael School, Martindales Road, St. Michael.

All of the meetings will begin at 5:00 p.m.
